Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport is more than just the gateway to Vermont, it is a reflection of the place we call home. From the minute you step inside you will see, feel and taste the impact of our history and the people that make it possible.
We know busy travelers long for a comfy place to just kick back and relax, so we’ve furnished our mezzanine with couches, coffee tables and easy chairs – the perfect place to wait for flights, friends, or family. You’ll also find a row of white rocking chairs in our Skyway, which provide spectacular views of the runways and aircraft.

Observation Deck
Leahy BTV features a new modern open-air deck and indoor observation room open to the public and accessible without clearing TSA screening.
Game Zone
Enjoy Leahy BTV’s Game Zone, activities include ping-pong, giant cheese, shuffleboard, and more. It’s the perfect way to unwind before takeoff. If you have younger children Leahy BTV also has two Kid Zones.
Historic Observation Tower
Built in the 1950s passengers can ascend a narrow set of stairs to access the Historic Observation space with views of the runways and taxiways.
Concessions
Shopping options at Leahy BTV include Hudson News offering books, magazines, newspapers, travel snacks, and local Vermont chocolates. Or The Better Box, which offers locally-made healthy snacks and specialty items.
Wireless Internet
Free high-speed wireless internet access is available throughout the terminal. Complementary power supply charging stations are available currently in the North and South concourse.
Rocking Chairs
Classic wooden rocking chairs are placed throughout the terminal to give travelers a relaxed and local feel. Enjoy spectacular views of the green mountains.
Green Roof
Atop the parking garage is Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport’s Green Roof. It’s the perfect place to relax, get some fresh air and enjoy a beautiful view while waiting for a flight. Just take the north skywalk to the garage and the stairs or elevator to the sixth floor. The roof has alpine plants, benches and a picnic table.
Pet Relief
Service animals are welcome. Leahy BTV has pet relief areas inside post security. View or terminal map here.
Kids Zone
The National Life Let’s Grow Kids Zone is a partnership between National Life Group, Let’s Grow Kids, Burlington International Airport, and Beta Technologies. The Kids Zone includes playscapes that are developmentally appropriate for children while providing incredible views of the runway and the Green Mountains. It also has rocking chairs and charging stations for adults and a state-of-the-art skyscape ceiling thanks to Beta Technologies.
Art on Display
Through a partnership with Burlington City Arts, Leahy BTV has rotating art on display.
Nursing Pods
We have Mamava nursing pods that offer a quiet and private space, found in both the North and South terminals.
Airport History Exhibit
See the history of the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport as told through photographs. The exhibit is located on the second floor on the south side of the terminal.
